Three workshop formats
Choose the room that fits where you are.
An open-enrolment two-day workshop, a bespoke version for a single team, or a half-day return for past graduates.
Return HomeApproach
A short note on how the workshops are built.
All three workshops share the same architecture: short framing input, practice round, structured debrief, repeat. The difference is in the depth of arc — two days lets us build from listening through framing to working with strong emotion, while a half-day session takes one element and goes deeper.
Group sizes are fixed by the design, not the budget. Twelve on open workshops, six to sixteen for in-house, eight on Reflective Practice Sessions. Below those numbers we'd lose the variety of practice partners; above them, we'd lose the chair time per person.
We don't promise specific outcomes. What we offer is a careful room, repeated rounds, and feedback you can take with you. The work after that is yours.

Open-Enrolment Two-Day Workshop
A two-day open-enrolment workshop in mediation and conversational skills, covering active listening, framing of disputes, working with strong emotion in a room, and facilitator self-care. Delivered as small-group practice rounds with structured debriefs.
What's included
- Two full days in the studio (16 hours total)
- Pre-reading sent one week ahead
- Printed participant workbook
- Refreshments through both days
- One-to-one follow-up reflection call four weeks after the workshop
Day arc
Day 1 · Morning
Listening practice. Short input, then rounds focused on attention and reflection — no problem to solve.
Day 1 · Afternoon
Framing of disputes. How early language shapes what comes next; rounds with framing as the focus.
Day 2 · Morning
Working with strong emotion. Recognising, naming, and holding feeling in the room without rushing past it.
Day 2 · Afternoon
Integration rounds and a closing session on facilitator self-care — what to take home, what to leave behind.
Bespoke · 6–16 participants
In-House Team Workshop
A bespoke version of the workshop delivered for a single organisation's team, sized typically between six and sixteen participants. Includes scoping conversations to map the team's recurring conversational situations, custom practice scenarios drawn from the team's own work, and a written facilitator pack for ongoing practice. Suitable for teams who frequently navigate sensitive conversations internally.
What's included
- Two scoping conversations with team leads
- Custom practice scenarios written for your team
- Two-day workshop (in your offices or our studio)
- Printed workbooks for every participant
- A written facilitator pack for ongoing practice within the team
- A debrief session with team leads four weeks later
How it goes
Step 1 · Scoping
Two conversations with team leads to understand recurring conversational situations and the team's particular dynamic.
Step 2 · Scenario writing
We write practice scenarios drawn from the work, with names and identifiers changed. Reviewed with team leads before the workshop.
Step 3 · Workshop
Two days running the same architecture as our open workshop, but with team-specific scenarios and a tighter focus on what the scoping surfaced.
Step 4 · Pack and follow-up
A written facilitator pack so the team can run shorter practice sessions internally, plus a debrief call with team leads four weeks later.

Reflective Practice Session
A standalone half-day reflective session for graduates of past workshops who wish to revisit specific aspects of their practice. Each session takes a single theme — for example, working with silence, or handling structural power asymmetries — and combines short input with practice rounds and shared reflection.
What's included
- Three hours in the studio
- One theme, gone into deeply
- Group of eight maximum
- Tea and a printed handout
Themes that recur
- · Working with silence in the room
- · Handling structural power asymmetries
- · Mediating in multilingual settings
- · Cross-generational difficulty
- · When apology is not on the table
Open to anyone who has completed our two-day workshop or an equivalent foundation elsewhere.
